The Marwari language (Mārwāṛī;مارواڑی;مارواڙي;मारवाड़ी), also variously Marvari, Marwadi, Marvadi, is spoken in Pakistan (Punjab and Sindh) and in Indian (Rajsthan and Madhya Pradesh). Speakers are also found in Nepal. With some 16 million speakers, it is the largest language by number of speakers of the Marwari language in Indian-subcontinent. There are 3 million speakers in Pakistan and 13 million speakers in Rajasthan. There are about 23 dialects of the Marwari Language.

In Pakistan, it is popuarly written in Arabic script, as is Sindhi, and Persian script, as is Urdu, but in India it is written in Devanagari script, as is Hindi. Marwari currently has no official status as a language of education and government. In Pakistan, there are two varieties of Marwari, the Northern Marwari and Southern Marwari. They may or may not be close enough to Indian Marwari to be considered the same language.
